Sowers Action

The "Action" includes helping children in poor and remote areas of China get back to school, assisting in the rebuilding and repairing of school premises for the safety of the students and improving the quality of the teaching staff.

This organisation was formed in Hong Kong in 1992, with legal registration as a non-religious, non-political and non-profitable charity organization. Their aim is to invest their efforts in China, helping district development and help them to help themselves through "on-the-spot investigations","direct subsidy" and "long-term follow-up" guidelines so as to ensure the proper and efficient use of donated funds.

Care For Children

Children need special people in their lives – most notably a Mum and Dad. Working together with the Chinese Government, Care for Children is helping to establish a nationwide programme to move children out of institutions and into local Chinese families. Chinese children in Chinese families in China!

Not wanting to create an 'empire', Care for Children seeks to empower local authorities and orphanages by training people to establish and manage the projects themselves. The idea is, that in the not-too-distant future, Care for Children can leave China having laid down strong enough foundations for the work to continue without their presence.

It only costs US$ 25 to place a child into a new family!
